Ben Bartlett works with key stakeholders to advance clean energy fairly and equitably as Director of Strategic Partnerships at the California Clean Energy Fund. A long-time community leader and environmental lawyer, Mr. Bartlett also serves as a councilmember for the city of Berkeley, and the Association of Bay Area Governments where he focuses on economic development and job creation. He has more than a decade of experience in developing scalable community-based solutions and worked as Berkeley Planning Commissioner, Transportation Commissioner, and Vice-Chair of the Zero Waste Commission. During his time at the Bay Area Council, Ben developed a Social Impact Fund and drafted the Pacific Clean Air Partnership, a clean tech trade agreement signed by Governor Brown and China’s Minister of Commerce. Ben also helped implement the state’s cap and trade securities and environmental justice protocols at the California Air Resources Board and California Energy Commission.
