Jeff Weng has extensive experience and passion in entrepreneurship, innovation go to market, global strategy and venture investment. He works with and mentors entrepreneurs to accelerate innovation to the market and advises on growth strategy, capitalization, business development and management.


Currently, Jeff is the Executive Managing Director at USAREG Inc., a silicon valley based firm specializes on strategy consulting, venture investment, financing and M&A covering US and China market. Jeff has advised various cross-border transactions over the years and involved in venture capital, private equity and high profile Pre-IPO investments. He is also a consultant to US Department of Commerce MBDA National Laboratory Technology Transfer Program and advises on technology commercialization. 


Prior to USAREG, Jeff co-founded 3 technology startups and held various of senior positions at Yahoo for 9.5 years including global strategy, international expansion/ investment, business and product management, marketing and strategic partnership etc. During his time at Yahoo, Jeff drove various successful international ventures and headed Yahoo Asia Communication and Community business managing 7 key markets including Taiwan, Hong Kong, Korea, Australia, New Zealand as well as involving in two important JV entities - China (with Alibaba) and Japan (with SoftBank) for many years and help the company sustained its No.1 market share in Asia. He also deeply involved in driving Yahoo’s global strategy and executed international expansion investments from 30 to 74 markets across Asia, Europe, Middle East, LATAM regions. Jeff is passionate on technology innovation and has filed four technology patents across search engine and communication field. He received Yahoo Global Superstar awards - the highest corporate worldwide recognition during his time at the company. 


Jeff holds B.S. in Electrical Engineering from Yuan Ze University with honor and joined exchange program to Stanford University, he also graduated from UC Berkeley Haas School of Business Executive Program and completed various executive training including Venture Capital, Innovation, Management, Leadership, Negotiation etc.
